The Concept M4 Coupe was unveiled at a media reception for the Pebble Beach Concours in Monterey, California.
Its “Aurum Dust” paint, a colour specifically developed by BMW for this car, really does highlight the aggressive lines. Its larger front air inlet and its quad tailpipes set the M4 apart from lesser 4 Series models, along with its carbon fibre roof, front splitter and rear diffuser.
The profile of the BMW Concept M4 Coupe is dominated by 20-inch bicolored M light-alloy wheels, behind which you’ll find carbon ceramic brakes. While BMW has not revealed what powertrain will be offered in the new M4, it will likely be a turbocharged six-cylinder motor, rather than the current M3’s V8.
Dr. Friedrich Nitschke, BMW M Division president, said at the unveiling, “The BMW Concept M4 Coupe reflects the BMW M philosophy in ideal form: it combines motor racing genes and unrestricted, everyday suitability in a highly emotional overall concept.”
