AJAC names the top three cars by category

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada announced the top three 2014 models in each category according to the 80 journalist members of AJAC.

Over a period of five days, AJAC journalists drove every new 2014 vehicle on the roads of Niagara Falls, Ontario. Known as TestFest, these five days are an opportunity to evaluate and compare the performance of each new model of a given category under identical conditions.

This year, there were 174 new vehicles on site. The cars are evaluated on a variety of criteria including safety, interior space, cargo space and comfort. The results are then compiled by KPMG.

For consumers, the results of TestFest provide an interesting and informative tool that helps compare each new vehicle within its segment.

On December 3rd, AJAC will unveil the winning vehicles in each category followed by the announcement of the 2014 Canadian Car of the Year at the Toronto Auto Show in February.
